By Matt Ludick

“Let every living, breathing creature praise GOD! Hallelujah!”

Psalm 150:6

Why do we sing songs?

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation: but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.  Ephesians 5:18-19

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  Colossians 3:16

We believe that singing is an essential part of our Worship.

Why do we clap our hands and give joyous shouts?

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  Colossians 3:16

We believe that it is an expression of our Worship.

Why do we lift our hands?

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.  Psalm 63:4

Let my prayer be accepted as sweet-smelling incense in your presence. Let the lifting up of my hands in prayer be accepted as an evening sacrifice.  Psalm 141:2

Therefore I desire that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.   1 Timothy 2:8

We believe that it symbolises a spontaneous act of surrender in our Worship.

Why do we have worship that is capable of being heard?

I will bless the Lord at all times:  His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  Psalm 34:1

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said:  Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them.  Acts 4:24

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.  Hebrews 13:15

We believe in audible corporate Worship.

Why do we use musical instruments in our worship meeting?

Praise him with sounds from horns. Praise him with harps and lyres. Praise him with tambourines and dancing. Praise him with stringed instruments and flutes. Praise him with loud cymbals. Praise him with crashing cymbals.  Psalm 150:3-5

And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters and as the voice of a great thunder; and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.  Revelations 14:2

Sing a new song. Shout! Play beautiful music.  Psalm 33:3

We believe that instruments contribute richly to our Worship.

What is God looking for in our worship meeting?

Indeed, the time is coming, and it is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for people like that to worship him. God is Spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.  John 4:23-24

We believe that God is looking for true worshippers.
